Who says that Siargao is only for Surfers?

Forget about it! For those non surfers, have fun and marvel the enigmatic beauty of Siargao. You can still enjoy and play with the waves, book a beginner’s lesson for surfing. It is known as “The Surfing Capital of the Philippines”. Foreigners all over the world, love to stay here and living a good life for its beautiful scenery and huge waves.

The island offers surfing lessons for beginners which cost PHP 500 an hour. At first, I was scared not sure if I’m able to stand up. After a few more tries and falling in the water, I was able to nail it! For those moments, I am very proud of myself despite of my built..haha! It was fun!IMG_7092

Now, let’s witness the beauty of Cloud 9, famous for surfing waves in Siargao.

Indeed a state of perfect happiness…

I am really amazed by the simplicity of the place. It’s perfect for unwinding and relaxing the mind. Also, the place was not crowded, ideal to those who want to disconnect their selves from the bustling city for a while.

Other Places to visit in Siargao…

  • Magpupungko Pool – known for its scenic beach with natural rock formation and tidal pools, truly, it was worth visiting for.
  • Tayangban Cave Pool- situated right off the Siargao Circumferential Road in Surigao del Norte. A great place for swimming in a fresh water cave.
  • Sugba Lagoon – located in Del Carmen, west side of Siargao, approximately and hour drive from General Luna. A breathtaking sight which everything in this place was natural and simply amazing.
  • Sohoton Cove and Bucas Grande – a breathtaking place in Surigao Del Norte. Explore the Hagukan Cave, Tojoman Lagoon (Jellyfish Sanctuary), Magkokoob Cave and Bolitas Cave. Mother nature is not selfish at all! It is a sight to behold.
  • Naked Island
